Oval rhyolite stones linked in gold wire create this chunky Iceland inspired bracelet with a beautiful gold toggle. Rhyolite is formed by hot lava that cools rapidly, causing it to contain tiny crystals of varying and distinctive colors. Through layering and volcanic action, ryholite was formed over huge geologic periods. These oval, beveled, desperately lovely stones in this series of bracelets come absolutely alive with color and depth. Holding up this bracelet against a view of Iceland's wild, glacier-ravaged terrain is an extraordinary reminder of the beauties of our earth. Darley's Inspiration



Imagine giant glaciers, mighty waterfalls, vast expanses of moss covered lava fields and natural hot springs bubbling to the surface, and you have some of the geological features of Iceland, a country of stunning extremes. The Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where earth’s tectonic plates are slowly drifting apart, straddles Iceland, making it a hot spot for geothermal activity.

Iceland’s Viking horses are just as strong as their surroundings and they know them well, running quickly over vast expanses of uneven lava, skirting quicksand and conquering rushing rivers. The Icelandic horses have survived and thrived amid Iceland’s intense temperatures and treacherous terrain, maintaining an indefinable spirit and bonding with their human companions.

As I glided over the lava fields of Iceland with a herd of these mighty horses, I was in awe of their instinctual abilities. I hope this Iceland inspired creation inspires you to seek out the pure and sometimes untamed beauty of our natural world.

Although similar, each individual jewelry piece and its gemstones are unique. No two semiprecious stones or their arrangement is quite the same -- and the numbers of each piece that are available are limited by the selection of gemstones. You should also know that only a limited number of each line of bracelets can be crafted because we do not have access to an endless number of fine quality stones with which we can produce a bracelet. When we are unable to complete one more bracelet, that line will effectively end. For authenticity, each piece is individually tagged as from the "Darley" line and hand made only upon your order in the U.S.A.
